Screen Recording Tool
Use this tool to record your screen during troubleshooting to document issues, share with colleagues, or include in equipment service reports.
Screen Recording for Troubleshooting
OPTION 1: Try recording with audio capture:
- You may hear a small "beep" sound when starting - this is normal and helps enable audio
- Click "Start Recording" below
- When the dialog appears, ONLY select "Tab" (NOT Window or Entire Screen)
- Select this current tab from the list
- CHECK the "Share tab audio" or "Include audio" box at the bottom of the dialog
- Click "Share" to begin recording
- Try playing some audio in another tab (like music or a YouTube video) during your recording - Edge sometimes needs this to activate audio capture
OPTION 2: Use the screen & voice recording option:
- If you cannot get audio in your recording, try this instead:
- Use Windows built-in Screen Recording: Press Win+G to open Game Bar
- Click the "Record" button in the Capture widget
- Or use Xbox Game Bar's screen recorder by pressing Win+Alt+R
⚠️ Due to Microsoft Edge security restrictions, audio recording is limited. Consider using Chrome for best results ⚠️
Full Instructions:
- Click "Start Recording" to begin
- Follow the audio instructions above carefully
- Perform the troubleshooting steps you want to document
- Click "Stop Recording" when finished
- Preview your recording below
- Download or share the recording
Note: Recordings are limited to 5 minutes and are stored locally in your browser only.
